Our Mission
American Legion Post 82 in Nashville enjoys a legacy unlike any other veteran service organization in the nation: our community includes famous veterans, famous musicians, and proximity to one of the premiere Army bases in the U.S.
Our unique footing inspires us to help veterans reintegrate into their communities with music at the center of the effort. Music has the power to help heal veterans, to connect military veterans to their communities, and to unite the members of a broader community through shared experiences. These powerful social interactions can combat feelings of isolation and alienation in veterans who are working to return home after their service and find their place in the civilian community.
